Hi, Zonky!

Hi, Son! We haven’t decided the name for you yet, but we are calling you Zonky for now. Do you like that name? I think your name will be Gordon like your father, grandfather, and great grand father. We will also give you a Korean name for the middle name.

Anyway, this is my first blog post writing to you. I am not sure how to start… I am not as good as your father when it comes to writings. Today, we went to the hospital to do regular checkup along with diabetes test. I had to drink some sugar syrup and wait for an hour to do the blood test. Luckily, we are good! The doctor said you weigh about 700g and your heads are up and bottoms are down. He said we don’t have to worry. It usually turns later on. We were very happy to see you through the screen. You were hiding your face though, so we didn’t get to see your face. I can’t wait to meet you and talk to you! Some people say it’s easier when the baby is still inside the womb but for me I am very excited to see and hold you!

Your father and I are not so happy here in Korea… And we don’t think it will be good for you to grow up here. There are still lots to change in Korea for human rights and a better life. We decide to save up some money to move to Canada. Hopefully, we want to move in 5 years. If we don’t get enough money, still I’d like to go somewhere else with you. What do you think?

Oh, also we got a used car last week. We don’t like cars and I hope there will less cars when you are reading this in the future. It’s quite dangerous to drive in Korea, so we are very hesitated to drive around. But it’s necessary to go to the hospital in another town and take you to parks and other places.

I don’t know where we will settle in the future. But we are happy to plan this while thinking of you. We used to spend all the income traveling, hanging out, and doing other stuff. Now we want to be more responsible for emergencies and provide you a better surroundings. I am on week 24th + 5days! I will see you soon, Zonky! Love you!
